The Obama administration recently selected Andrew Traver to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (and Really Big Fires). When Barack’s mob made the announcement, a Chicago news report surfaced wherein Agent Traver called for a ban on assault weapons. Bloggers also exposed his connections to two prominent anti-gun rights groups. At the time, several commentators predicted that the appointment signaled a new strategy for the Administration: they would pursue gun control through ATF fiat, rather than legislative initiative.
